#StayHome - Backyard Dinnertime: Burgers, Fresh Mango Lemonade and a Very Vintage Treat

Helen NurseComment

Post Mother's Day is my favorite time of the year...the weather finally breaks, I can begin planting, and best of all, it is when I move the dining outdoors.  There is nothing like preparing and taking a meal with my kids after school on these balmy days. The following is the first of my dining series entitled #StayHome. When the weather hits 70° you can best believe I am in my backyard kicking back and enjoying time with my family.  I hope you enjoy these quick "recipes" and ideas for your #StayHome dining and entertaining.

Ground beef, cheese(s), onion, seasonings of your choice, barbecue sauce or ketchup, and a hit of olive oil are what make my burgers sing!  Play around with different ingredients until you find your sweet spot.  I use the same mixture with ground turkey as well.

I like my burgers fat and juicy.  Never pat them flat in order to retain the most juice and flavor. I learned this the long and hard way:-)

Just add something raw...greens and sweet peppers for today, some extras for fun...chips, and carmelized onions to top off that burger. Flowers and printed paper plates make for the perfect casual outdoor dinner setting.  Bon Appetit!

Now for the good stuff! S'mores from the grill.  Graham crackers, marshmallows, Hershey's chocolate.
